Oh, I KNEW I had scammed that image from somewhere in my brain. While writing I was thinking, "Didn't this happen before? This floorboard thing?" But Christ, I can't keep anything straight these days. I think I might have used it in reverse at one point too...a ficlet where Jeeves hides some stuff not to keep secret while he's there, but to come back for after he quits or something.
