So I am up to 38,000 words now, which was yesterday's goal. But whatever! I'm going to stay glued to this seat in the coffee house, drink these foamy latte thingys until I burst, and keep at it until I get to 40,000.

FORTY THOUSAND. That's, like, almost 50,000. Exciting. My action is crescendoing. Also, there's that 24:Redemption special on tonight. Am I right in assuming that this is NOT part of the new season? That it's some sort of connecting story? The ad copy hasn't been clear on that.

Also been watching Mad Men! OMFG, when I'm done writing the next great Australian/Laotian/Indian/American novel, guys, we have got to talk about that.

Things that suck: I lost my Burt's Bees last night at the bar with some old Boston friends, and my lips are SO chapped. Pain. But I can't leave the coffee shop until I persevere. Better writing through masochism?

WHAT ELSE IS GOING ON. I am way too jazzed up for so early in the day.

I'm pretty sure the 24 thing is the first part of this season. I am sure that I can't watch it until Tuesday because they're putting it out on DVD and the bf insists we wait until then. :D:

I dunno! The Fox.com site says that the season premiere of 24 will be a 4-hour, 2-night special explosion extravaganza in January. So WTF is tonight's thing? :/
