Recipe: Wilson's stuffed peppers
Aug. 11th, 2008 08:26 pmSo I'd never made stuffed peppers before, but man they look tasty on Wilson's plate in that one episode.

Yum yum. And the food ain't looking bad neither.
So's here's what I did:
1. Look at a few recipe sites, but get disgruntled and say BUMP DAT.
2. Go into kitchen and throw brown rice into the rice cooker.
3. Cut the tops off of some green peppers. Remove stems and chop tops into bits.
4. When rice is done, throw pepper bits into the pot along with some minced garlic, chopped sundried tomatoes, shredded Parmesan cheese, and a bit of leftover pasta sauce. Fuck it, throw in whatever you got. Beans would be tasty. Cooked ground beef if you're into that kind of thing. Hot sauce. Any vegetables that are about to go over the edge.
5. Stuff those peppers like they're a bottom who needs a harsh lesson in tough love. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. You're looking for a slight, slight char on the outside of the pepper. The skin will start to wrinkle slightly, like it's been in the bath too long.
The inside stuffing was *does that thing that French cooks do where they kiss their fingertips* perfecto. The outer layer of stuffing was way dry, so I would say add a tablespoon or two of olive oil or peanut oil.
Also, sorry that my food photos suck in that 1) you have to see the ugly china pattern all the time and 2) I seemingly pose the food in front of things that make me look smart? Those books are actually covering a hole in the dresser's top.
But back to the food, it's healthy, portion-controlled, and the leftovers can be wrapped in foil for easy reheating.
