I did not hit my word count tonight. But it's over nine thousaaaaaaand!

I hate to put all this pressure on you, flist, but could I get a what-what? This novel thing is harder than I thought it would be, and any little word of encouragement would be most welcome.

The worst part of this novel is not having an outlet for fanfic ideas! I can't work them into this story, so they're all piling up like a clogged drain in my head.

To be honest with you, I'm having trouble with mine, too. But you're much further along than I am, and you're really not that far behind most people's projected goals.

There are harder days. Today's one of them. Tomorrow, in all probability, isn't.

I am SO impressed with you for writing this novel, it sounds like immensely much work, and I imagine structuring a novel is a lot different from writing shorter things. And it must be hard to write as much as you are doing now *and* thinking about the structure at the same time. Please keep it up, I am *so* much looking forward to reading it (we get to read it, I hope?). And it sounds promising that you have so many ideas for new fanfic as well.

Honestly, I'm not thinking about ANYTHING right now. I don't have time to consider structure or little things like characterization. I'm just barfing up words! Maybe when this is all over, it can be cleaned up into something approaching not-embarrassing. And then yes, you can read it. :)
