1. Thank you to whomever recommended Kiss Kiss Bang Bang to feed my growing Robert Downey Jr. love. It was a hilariously fun movie. Just, every second was something good. Now, how hard am I gonna cry at The Soloist? DAMN HARD. It's such an unrepentant sob fest. Whatever! I'm all for tales of soppy bromance.

2. Heroes. Heroes. Heroes...what do I say about Heroes? These past few episodes have been so disappointing that I think I may have only enjoyed tonight's by comparison? I have no frame of reference anymore for whether it's a good show or not. There was some fighting and some guns and some Hiro antics. I THINK that makes a good episode. But whaddaIknow? I'm still a sap for watching the damn thing.

3. OH. OMG. I got tickets for the Daily Show in late January! I am so excited. T is gonna fly up just to go with me. SQUEE. His first question: "What do you wear to a Daily Show taping?" "Your 'Marry Me, Stewart' t-shirt, duh!"

4. I am writing my House and Jooster fics for Sweet Charity simultaneously, I guess. I write a chunk of one, and then the next day I go for the other. Usually I like to concentrate on one thing at a time, but this sort of fragmented thinking seems to help in this case. You'll see what I mean when you see the fics. They're both structured in a piecemeal kind of way. I hope everyone gets some pleasure out of them. It's been great fun getting back into writing with them.

5. Cap slash. Cap, Cap, Cap. Though I have no time for writing Cap/Iron Man fic right now because of my charitable obligations, I have been amassing very stupid plot bunnies for unleashing upon the poor populace. I just love superheroes so much, and I love sex so much, and putting the two together is like, well, it's like discovering electricity. Nothing's really the same after, is it? I would really like to do a retelling of Cap's awakening in the 21st Century because I love the whole "man out of time" thing. It's like time travel! But in reverse! I also wanna play up that weird balance in his character where he's old-fashioned but at the same time believes so strongly in the ideals of American equality that he goes out of his way to befriend people he's not used to. Can you IMAGINE the first Pride March he sees? *rolls around in a big pile of fallen HoYay leaves*

Oh, man! I got my hopes up over "The Soloist," but the movie appears to be a different Soloist than this awesome book I read once upon a time and wholeheartedly recommend to anyone who will listen.

I keep hearing good things about Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, sooooo... off to Netflix!

Oh, that does look like a good book. But I'm sure there's room in the world for two music-based chick flicks/reads.

And yeah, I'd highly recommend KKBB. Very good.

I love Robert Downey Jr. and I've yet to see that movie, though I have it on DVD somewhere.

I've been amassing a few Cap/Ironman pictures. Will posting these influence those plot bunnies to an unfair point? (Is that a little presumptuous of me? But I can't seem to care.)

PRESUME AWAY. I am a fanart whore. Will do anything for it. I can't help it.

I am so pleased to have someone else playing in this tiny fandom with me. I feel almost like I'm dreaming it? Like, who in their right mind would find such a thing attractive?

And how do I explain my fannish evolution? I go from old skool anime to old doctors to cutesy manservant action to ripply superheroes!? It's like there's no rhyme or reason.

Anything, you say? >w>

Who could find sculpted men in tights / awesome technolorific armor attractive? Er, anyone who's not loony. Unless you mean the banging. Which is still way-ho hotter.

Wow, snap! Your fansition is right on with mine. Is that weird? Maybe it's normal.

That's right. I said ANYTHING. I am making ridiculous promises. That's how much I wanna see this fanart.

Have you copyrighted the word fansition? It's fan-tastic.

The only thing I want is to see fics. So, is that a difficult promise?

No, but I totally should.

NOT DIFFICULT AT ALL, SIR. Although I really need to buckle down if I wanna finish the Sweet Charity fics before Nov. AND take part in NaNoWriMo. Unless I can somehow work the fics into my original novel?

...this is going to be the worst novel ever.

"As I made my journey from young man to for-serious man in the jungles of Thailand, I thought to myself, hey, wouldn't it be crazy if Captain America was fucking Iron Man? I imagine it would go a little something like this..."

MOVIE DEAL PLZ. *colbert gimme gesture*

Ohsnap. I want to read it all. What's this NaNoWriMo thingummy? AND CAN I GET A TIP OFF AS TO WHAT YOUR ORIGINAL THINGUMMY IS REALLY ABOUT?

But wouldn't it just end up being another low-budget porno?

http://www.nanowrimo.org, sir. It's an institution, but I've never given it a shot. It would be hard work, and I'd have to put fic writing on hold, as I wouldn't have time to work on anything else for the month. I'm still wondering if I should try it.

As for a tip, it wouldn't be much of a tip! I'm sure it won't be any good, but it's an idea that I was supposed to write 2 years ago and I figure it's now or never.
