The following are all positive things (sort of)

1. Today I noticed that the MTA has begun printing inspirational quotes on the backs of subway passes. This is how that quote made me feel.

Eff you, Willy! That crowd is a sweating, pulsing, rancid mass! MASS TRANSPORTATION IS NOT GOOD TIMES, PRITHEE?

2. At the behest of quite a few folks, I finally watched the first DVD of season 1 of The Big Bang Theory. I--I want to live in this world, where I have a huge group of nerdy friends that keep dropping by to play stupid games. It wouldn't even matter if none of us got laid, as long as we're all getting Thai take-out.

Plus, Sheldon & Leonard are the cutest "heterosexual" life mates evar! Geek!love FTW.

I'm sure there's slash. Right? There's ALWAYS slash. Hmmm, I will look later. It's getting late.

I IS A LIAR. I WILL LOOK NAO. [livejournal.com profile] bigslashtheory FOR. TEH. WIN.

3. I pre-ordered my copy of Pride and Prejudice AND ZOMBIES. But I was dumb and pre-ordered via Amazon for 20% off list price. You should pre-order direct from Chronicle Books and use the promo code ZOMBIES for 25% off list price! That's less than $10 for what could be the best book of all time. (Guys, let's make this the most profitable book EVER so that we can see more mash-ups of classic lit with zombie violence! Come on, who doesn't want to see "The Merchant of Venice...BATTLES SOME ZOMBIES!"?)

That is all. There, that was all good stuff, right?

eee. i have heard of this show. i may have to actually start watching another show! (no, really. this is something of an event. I only watch House and (very rarely but i'm catching up slowly) Torchwood.) (i'm not one of those no-tv people. i just forget that it's used for something that isn't watching dvds or playing supernintendo.)

Is it bad that as the first picture loaded it took more than a few seconds to realize that was a finger? eep.

I pre-ordered from Amazon, too! I thought it was cheaper than Chronicle (which, I think was recently mentioned on NPR or something) after S&H.

ZOMBIES FTW!

Yeah, I guess if you're ordering something else and getting the free Amazon shipping, then it all works out.

ZOMBIES \o/

And no, it's not your fault. Now that I look at it, my finger is freakish disproportionate to my fist.

I want to go into the city now, just to get one of those subway passes. (And at least you're taking the subway...far far better than trying to ride an NYC bus.)

and P&P&Z? I think I first heard about it here on LJ, but if it's avaliable for preorder, you are an amazing person for pointing it out. *runs off and spends last of her discretionary spending on P&P&Z*

I've been considering ordering Pride and Prejudice and Zombies for the bookstore I work at. Please do write a review.
And yeah, gotta agree with you about the nongrandeur of humanity in mass transit. Especially when busdrivers don't know how to drive in snow, and go skidding all over the place, and everyone is annoyed and scared for their lives and the drive keeps yelling at everyone.
Yeah. Anyway.

Come on, who doesn't want to see "The Merchant of Venice...BATTLES SOME ZOMBIES!"?

I so want to see Zombie!Antonio's decapitation.

Funny things is, they somehow all get laid. Well, apart from Sheldon who apparently is just oblivious.
But you´re right, it´s the "Friends" I really want to have without cushy sofas but Halo nights instead.
Glad you got bitten by the bug too.

Thanks to all the great book recommendations on LJ I have stuff of about 200€ in my Amazon basket.

Why did you have to enlighten me on such a literary creation?! I have spent far too much money today, and you threw this at me! Gah! Ordered and eagerly anticipating.
